Phikap threw a small shindig last evening. The party was slow starting so I helped Rob Kinsey fix all his Linux server woes and studied data structure algorithms until people started to show up. I had a couple drinks and then realized I should take it easy on a couch for a bit. Two people joined me on the couch and that led to some things that were partly regretable, but not entirely. It made the evening memorable. What I don’t remember is where some of my clothing…hmmm…nevermind. Roll with the punches. Tomorrow is another day. I put some photos I took in the gallery.
Realizing that it was about 3:30am and my flight to Seattle was due to take off shortly, I decided to call a taxi service and get over to the airport. I grabbed some clothes and toiletries from home and stuffed them into a bag and ran out the door.

I just finished my third and final interview with IBM for Extreme Blue. Project “CAM”, “BD2″, and now “Mako” has said they would like me in their team. Unfortunately, project “Mako” has two outstanding offers that they’re waiting to hear back from first before they can extend me an official offer. This is unfortunate because at the current moment they are at the top of my list. The project is very interesting to me and you can’t beat the location - San Jose. While I’d be perfectly happy going to RTP, NC for the “CAM” project, being able to see another location of IBM would be a great experience. I will just wait and see.

This morning, I woke up still feeling full from dinner last night. In fact, it is 4pm and I have not ate a single thing all day mostly because I have been so busy. I’m just now starting to feel hungry. I’m also nearly pain free in my right foot!
I spent the morning cleaning and doing laundry while I tidied up my resume. I had my interview with the “BD2″ project for IBM Extreme Blue. The interview went exceptionally well. BlueDye2 is a project to bring improved autonomic error tracing tools to Linux. They are developing a mechanism to intelligently allocate dynamic tracepoints throughout the Linux kernel, so that developers can trace errors to the problematic function. The project is based out of Austin, Texas.
