One helluva long day
I caught the 22:30 (PST) red-eye flight from Seattle to Detroit back home. I didn’t catch more than a wink of sleep. The airplane was a fully loaded 757 and it was just too noisy. I got into Detroit around 06:00 (EST) and finally in Cleveland around 07:00. I was surprisingly awake at this point, even though I had been up for nearly 24 hours and had finished some of the hardest interviews I have ever had.
After getting home and unpacking, I went into Undergraduate Admission and did some photography work for them. I took pictures of the lovely miss Joanie and a guy named Joel. I got a couple nice ones, but overall, I know I could do better. The weather here in Cleveland is a beautiful shade of grey, which didn’t help.
After doing some computer work, I headed home. By this point, I was starting to feel tired. It was undeniable. I sat down and tried to sleep. I probably got about a half hour before I realized I had stuff to do.
In orchestra, we received our new music and it’s kick ass. We’re doing Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Russian Easter Festival” which is just one bad-ass piece of music. The string part is pretty challenging. I think this next concert will be worth attending - the orchestra needed a good challenge like this.
So, I woke up at 06:00 PST yesterday - which would be 9:00 EST. That I have been up for about 36+ hours. I’m pretty damn tired.
