Dinner at Earth and Ocean in Seattle

After reading many reviews, I decided to make reservations at one of Seattle’s finest restuarant - Earth & Ocean. I drove into downtown Seattle a bit early so I could wander the streets. I really wanted to get a nice shot of the Space Needle at night and brought my camera along for that purpose. You can see the shot I took in the gallery.

Earth & Ocean is a very trendy but classy “impress me on the first date” type place; chill yet formal decor with Hooverphonic playing in the background. I ordered Pete Knutson’s Wild Caught Salmon with a glass of sauvignon blanc, which was served to me in a remarkably short amount of time. The presentation of the salmon was beautiful - the filet skin side up and surrounded with wild mushrooms and sunchoke covered in a frothy carrot emulsion that mimicked sea foam. The only disappointment was in myself for having no room for dessert.

After dinner, I went back out and wandered the streets some more. I was planning on hitting some of the clubs, but decided to go back home after realizing that I was incredibly tired. I had not taken a good night’s sleep in over three days.
